Additionally, spellcasting hardly synergizes with Rage, which altogether makes this idea rather awkward. Maybe you could multiclass into Fathomless Warlock for Tentacle of the Deep? But that feels like a poor choice since it's based off of Charisma, which is likely the Barbarian's dump stat. I suppose the Double-Bladed Scimitar counts, but it's not as good at dealing damage as a heavy weapon is when combined with Reckless Attack and Great Weapon Master. However, I can't really think of a single option other than Polearm Master that grants an additional attack. But I was recently watching Treantmonk's ranking of the Barbarian subclasses, and in it he mentioned that the Battle Rager's third level ability to attack as a bonus action is weak and hasn't aged well, as nowadays there are many options for a bonus action attack beyond the Player's Handbook. I know they're often considered a weak subclass, and I would agree. I've been thinking about Battle Rager lately.
