You aren't necessarily supposed to be playing the same person as you played in the first game. I never cared for the silent protagonist. This does still have some deep sea places, I am just waiting to see if they develop that a bit more before I comment on that. The Seamoth is a much better exploration vessel than the truck so I agree with you on that one. It was okay in open water but the majority of your exploration took place in places you could not get to with the cyclops. Even on the first game I found it a bulky and awkward vessel to use. The game does not have this open world, go anyhwere you want do anything you want at any time feel to it anymore. Out of the window, in favor for a more linear, narrative driven game, where you have to sit through a lot of annoying dialog and cutscenes, many people just do not care about or even find annyoing to watch. Many people wanted what they liked about the first game transferd into the 2nd game and then added more gameplay mechanics, new tech,new vehicles, new crafting recipes,better textures and shaders and engine improvements on top of that. Its not that hard to understand why some people dislike BZ. They just copy and pasted the same tech and resources out of the first game and created a new map with new bioms ontop of that. ![]() Of course does it have the same functionality of the first game, same items, same resources,same crafting recipes, mostly same tech, because its the same source code they use.
